Best and Worst Champions League secenarios

With the Champions League draw later today, Editor Dean Mears looks at the best and worst case scenarios for our English based teams.

Manchester United- Last years runners up will be feared by most sides throughout Europe, after knocking Liverpool off their fucking perch, Sir Alex will be gunning for Barcelona

Chelsea- Still on their quest for Euro glory, and have last years Europa League winning coach in charge. But the pressure will be on if Chelsea struggle.

Arsenal- Made it through in dramatic circumstances last night against Udinese, will be hoping for easier games in the group stage.

Best: Benefica, Lille, Genk.

No tough away trips, and all teams that in theory English sides should be better than. The trips are also short, meaning the clubs can focus on weekend matches sooner and remain fitter.

Worst: AC Milan, Zenit St. Petersburg, Borussia Dortmund.

All good footballing teams who you'd expect to give the English teams a run for their money. They also make for extremely difficult away trips, especially facing the 'yellow wall' of Dortmund.

Manchester City- Champions League new boys, but boy do they have a squad capable of challenging. As a third seed team, they could face a very difficult draw indeed.

Best: Porto, Villarreal, Genk

All they would face last year's Europa League winners, on paper City should run out comfortable winners of this group, but if they play negative, they could end up with egg on their faces.

Worst: Barcelona, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund

Doesn't need explaining, all good footballing teams, and has already been described as the possible 'group of death' Mancini will be relieved if he avoids these teams.
